The Gift of Life

A door is closed, within our conscience,
In place is a dialogue of total nonsense. 

And as death dawns on us, creeps closer,
It's time to step off routines and rotas.

As what lies before us and what lies ahead, 

Is nothing compared to what's in our heads.

We know this in our souls from top to bottom, 

Yet somehow the lotus is scared to blossom.

We have some notion that we have stuff to work on, 

& the depths of our emotions are crippled for certain.

Many mislayed, he ability to cry, 

& so day after day, infinity flys by.

Then when the mirror shows us our reflection, 

We turn away, few change their direction.

Somewhere we perceive we're held tight by the collar,
Yet few wish to grieve, & admit to the horror.

We lie to ourselves, ego grips like seduction,
we could choose to be well, yet we choose death and

destruction.

In all four seasons, all countries, all weathers, 

A world wide treason we're committing together.

Refuse to acknowledge that the Emporor is naked, 
& few have the courage, to act on what is sacred.

It's clear human kind has succumed to a fall, 
& each person blind to their wake up call.

What plausable reason, to persue on this planet,
If we cannot see, we're spiritual beings & organic,

& our hearts filled with knowledge, 

that surpasses the worlds libraries

& that love is the thing,
 we should worship most highly.

And that we each hold the feelings of a newborn baby, 

as well as the wisdom, of an old man or lady.

There is beauty immeasurable, in each boy & each girl,
if we take our eyes off the pepples, and look to the pearls.

A new wave of patterns could branch if we're willing, 
take it down to the atoms, and start from the beginning.

At first it's unpleasant, to see we've fallen so far,
 but if we know in our essence, who we truely really are,

And feel in truth we're as innocent, 

as the time we came through,

then the great gift of life,

shall be granted to you.
