Brain Food

Brain Food

It's really a wonder we've got anything in our heads,
if only whole foods were the things we were fed.

Refined cakes and biscuits, hamburgers and chips,
we really shouldn't risk it, to pass our cherry lips.

Eat a greasy pizza, stuff it in your face,
& you know it's gonna greet ya, like last years garbage waste.

No mass tan rico, we create our fait
when we stuff in 20 kilos of cheapo chocolate.

Only walking dustbins, eat junk & don't eat greens,
we must think that we are nothing, no self love or self esteem.

We believe we're unimportant, so we binge on 20 beers,
perhaps there's something dormant in between our weary ears?

We must make up our minds, are we Gods or are we shite?
Can we really be so blind, to our basic human rights?

We are what we eat, daily it's in our face,
then we're puzzled by the issues within the human race?

Ever single molecule, inside of us can glow,
so take awe upon the miracle, of how our garden grows.
So be gentle on yourselves, and slowly break the chain,
& remember that food's essential for a happy, healthy brain.
