The Blue Pill

Option one, you drown your sorrows,

accept you're numb look down and follow.

Don't look for loop holes, give up the chase,

if you chose the blue pill your option's safe.

Be predictable, and try to forget, 

that life can be mystical, go for the safe bet.

Then you can be sure of every rule,

you're safe secure, wrapped in cotton wool.

Get pushed and shoved then say it's ok,

get bathed in love in a conditional way.

Work hard and study, do what you hate,

and all for nothing at the end of the day.

Miss the big picture, de expand,

play chinese whispers, bury your head in the sand.

All of your humour will be tasteless and dry,

be a consumer, it's your newly found joy.

There are two choices, which one will you chose,

one pill is joy and the other is doom.

Take yourself shopping and call it pleasure,

then your coffin's made to measure.
